The two-dimensional world A blind spot at expressing a three-dimensional phenomenon on the two-dimensional world The three-dimensional world

The motif of the left painting is the Penrose stairs or an impossible object.
The reason why these stairs seem to continue to go up eternally is to utilize the blind spot of the perspective drawing which is technique to express a three-dimensional phenomenon in the two-dimensional world.
For example, in the case of right animation, "Penrose stairs" of Escher is formed only in the angle (a blind spot) at the time of the standstill.
However, it is only this moment. It is recognized that distorted stairs cut off on the way are the true figures of these stairs by this animation.
It is needed to look in various angles to grasp a three-dimensional phenomenon precisely.
