Computer Graphics

CG work "A people-friendly village is earth-friendly" in Yomiuri Computer-Graphic Contest organized by Yomiuri Shimbun from November to February in 2001
Space simulation by 3D-CG animation is a very effective means to check a plan and make it reach an agreement with the people concerned, in order to create a people-friendly city/building. (My works 1997-99)

-Hakataza theater CG animation "Scene from Meiji St." (314 KB)

-Hakataza theater CG animation "Scene from the street next to Hakataza" (274 KB)

I invented "a Moving Slope", a temporary slope for a small room, by using CG and a model. The incline of the slope is about 1/6, a d it is usually used as stairs.
In fact this has been installed in the parents-children's room in Hakataza. (My work in 1998)

My 3D images (stereographs and stereograms) and 3D videos
Image Video
*3D from a single painting *3D videos

How to take a look at my 3D images without any tool
Please focus far away (e.g. on a wall of your room or on something outside the window).
Bring your index finger close to your mouth as shown in Fig.1 (just like the sign of "Quietly!" or "Shh!" ).
When your index finger is moved forward while your focusing far away, you can see it to be doubled, as shown in Fig.2. (Caution : Do not focus on your index finger!)
Please interlace fingers as shown in Fig.3 and bring them close to your mouth.
When you move about 30cm forward in the same way as Fig.1, your index fingers of both hands will overlap in the middle and you can see three fingers as shown in Fig.4.
When your fingers are overlaped, this is the point where you can see my 3D images.
In other words, you will be able to take a look at my 3D images overlaped the right and left photo of my work as shown in Fig.5 if the left and right photo of my 3D image are replaced to each finger respectively.
Please put your Smartphone or PC about 30cm before your eyes.
At the same time you have to set the width of my work within about 12cm ( 2 times width between your eyes ) on your Smartphone or PC.
Let's try it with the following example.
How to take a look at my 3D images with simple tools
The binoculars can be made with two A4 papers.

Benefits of viewing the 3D images (stereograph)
1) When you focus on distant objects, such as when viewing stereographs, your ciliary muscles relax. This relaxation can help reduce your eye strain, particularly beneficial in today's digital age where you often spend long periods staring at close-up screens.
2) The act of viewing stereographs can enhance your depth perception and spatial awareness, potentially improving hand-eye coordination and visual acuity.
3) Viewing stereographs can be a fun and engaging activity that stimulates the brain and promotes visual learning.
* Please note that these benefits can vary among individuals and regular breaks are recommended when viewing stereographs to prevent eye fatigue.
